Nominations are now being accepted for 2003. In most cases, historical figures who have made outstanding contributions to the field will be selected, but distinguished contemporary translators and interpreters may also be considered. Entries should include a biography and/or essay on the nominee (700 words or longer) with optional illustrations. Send entries by the nomination deadline: July 31, 2003. Nominations will be judged by a panel drawn from various translator and interpreter associations. New honorees will be announced on International Translators Day, September 30, 2002. The TIHOF website will publish the essays with credit to their authors and translators. Submissions will become the property of the TIHOF. Nominees not inducted at the 2002 ceremony may be considered for future years.
